Kyra Senese has joined Railway Track & Structures as managing editor, reporting to Mischa Wanek-Libman, RT&S editor.

An Illinois native, Kyra is a May 2016 alumna of Columbia College Chicago, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with a magazine writing concentration. She initially joined RT&S as assistant editor in August 2016. Kyra previously worked as a research assistant with Advertising Age. Her journalism career began at Columbia’s student-run newspaper, The Columbia Chronicle, where she worked her way up to become editor-in-chief.

NYCT wraps up M Line reconstruction

Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) New York City Transit (NYCT) conducted work on its Myrtle Viaduct on the M Line this weekend, rebuilding the structure that has been in place for more than a century.

Union Pacific reports PTC progress

Union Pacific (UP) has shared recent strides it has made toward the required implementation of positive train control (PTC) as federal deadlines loom ahead.


The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (LACMTA), elected officials and community members gathered April 25 for a ceremonial naming and unveiling of the tunnel boring machines (TBMs) that will dig twin four-mile tunnels under Wilshire Boulevard for the Purple Line Extension Project.
