Kyra Senese, Managing Editor

Kyra Senese has joined Railway Track & Structures as managing editor, reporting to Mischa Wanek-Libman, RT&S editor.

An Illinois native, Kyra is a May 2016 alumna of Columbia College Chicago, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism with a magazine writing concentration. She initially joined RT&S as assistant editor in August 2016. Kyra previously worked as a research assistant with Advertising Age. Her journalism career began at Columbia’s student-run newspaper, The Columbia Chronicle, where she worked her way up to become editor-in-chief.

CTA to add station along Green Line gap

Chicago officials have announced plans to add a new Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) station along the Green Line at Damen Avenue.

 

Work began on the MAPS 3 Oklahoma City Streetcar track line earlier this week, starting construction on the area’s first streetcar network in decades.

 

The Chicago Transit Board has awarded a $42.9 million contract to Clark Construction Group to upgrade three substations that provide power to the Chicago Transit Authority’s (CTA) eight rail lines.

 

Design-build expert Liam Dalton, PE, is joining the HNTB Corporation team as design-build project director and vice president of the firm’s Northeast division.
